Team
Mark Lantz – Principal

Mark is deeply committed to sustainable practices that help people live more ecologically. He founded Cozy Home Performance, LLC in 2006 to serve as a local solution to address today’s serious energy, environmental and economical issues. When not saving BTUs, Mark is out on foot, bike and ski enjoying the beautiful landscapes of New England. Mark is a BPI Certified Building Analyst, Heating and Envelope Professional.
Adin Maynard – Director of Operations

Before knowing that his life’s work is involved in the building performance industry, Adin studied sustainable design, urban planning, and natural building. He joined Cozy Home Performance after working in the non-profit sector promoting MA utility residential efficiency programs. In the Obama, Green Communities era, Adin is hopeful that large scale investment in energy efficiency will enable a healthy future for his son’s generation. Adin is developing business systems to prepare Cozy Home Performance to meet the vast need for increased building performance in our region.
Gary Gronokowski – Crew Manager

Gary has a background in construction, maintenance and management. Gary is very close to being a BPI Certified Building Analyst, Heating and Envelope Professional and recently completed ‘boot camp’, the training program for MassSAVE. After serving and working as the manager for the Vipassana Meditation Center for seven years, Gary enrolled in the GCC Sustainable Energy Program to develop his experience and interest in energy auditing and deep energy retrofits. Gary appreciates that he is converting drafty homes into comfortable, energy efficient homes. “I feel that I am not so much working for CHP but serving the homeowner. There is so much work to be done in order to decrease the amount of energy that is consumed and I feel like I am doing my part, one house at time.”
Brian ‘just.b’ Keaney- Field Technician

Brian B’s interest in building performance stemmed from his professional tree climbing experience, stints in carpentry, and miles logged hitchhiking. Out of this came a passion for systems thinking and the desire to empower people to be more independent in their homes through increased comfort and decreased fossil fuel dependence. In this job, Brian satisfies his thirst for empowering people to live more sustainably and for furthering his knowledge of building systems.
Sergei Gorobtsov- Field Technician

Sergei is a grad student at Umass Amherst in the new Professional Masters in Green Building program. He is a hard worker who is as good on his feet as lying on his back in a tight crawl space. Although New England is not as cold as Russia, he values making indoor environments comfortable and energy efficient.
